Udja Sebai Maa,
Initiation Ritual Assessment/Reflection

While the elements of mystery, chanting and drumming remain the same, the initiation ritual is always a great remembrance (sekhau) of my own initiation. It brings a renewal of my own commitment and dedication to discover and abide in the Divine Self. Hearing each of the initiates welcoming speeches is an encouraging statement not only for the new Shems but for all. It’s especially nice to hear from the new initiate of how their spiritual journey began as well. It was very Nefer!

The following was shared via the Google Forms Questionnaire re: Assessment/Reflection of the Two Rituals:

Udja Sebai Maa and Seba Dja, Firstly dua again for another enlightening Conference and Goddess Festival. The concepts of Harmony and Attunement of our psychic bodies was presented with many authentic teachings to guide us in a way to understand them better.

In regards to the two rituals, being involved in the Ritual of the Tyet under our Preceptors guidance, allowed for a deeper understanding to the extent of the planning, preparation and execution of bringing the teachings alive to share in upholding the ancient traditions for attendees in a way that brings forth Saa (understanding with feeling.) Seeing, feeling and acting each of the segments brought further clarity of the connection of the Tyet and Heru.

The Ritual of the Ba was so very Nefer! The beginning of the re-creation of the” bathing” at the fountain area to mirror what was done in KMT set the tone. Walking past and viewing the Ba within the niche also was preparing us for what was to come. The readings, chanting etc were also vibrated deeply. For me I’d have to say what resonated most was having the Ba and candle passed over each of us as we had called to our idealized image, it was like a living tat, the words coming to life in that moment.
