1. What is the relationship between Egyptians and Ethiopians?
The Ancient Egyptian recorded that they were a colony of Ethiopian which was in the North. This colony of Ethiopians, came to the South, which was considered Kemet/Egypt. This was after land was formed from deposits from the flowing Nile river. Hence, the relationship is that they are the same people, Ethiopians who traveled to another Land and colonize it.
2. Who were the Ancient Egyptians?
A colony of Ethiopians from the South who came to the North-East part of Africa.
3. What is Yoga Philosophy?
Yoga Philosophy are teachings that aid one to reach a oneness between their individual soul and the universal Soul. Egyptian Religion is the most ancient, first recorded, Yoga Philosophy. It was developed over 7,000 years. It is the highest philosophical teachings/system. One can develop spiritually by learning and following these teachings as they do lead one to an enlightened state of consciousness.
4. What is the Initiatic Way of Education?
This is a system that requires an aspirant to listen to, study, and meditate upon the teachings in a proper environment and with proper guidance. As a part of this system, it requires a spiritual teacher who helps to guide the aspirant through their journey to enlightenment. There are also ten virtues that an initiate must develop on this educational path to be successful. The Temple System housed this educational system, as it guided the people and allowed them to sustain themselves, having all needs provided for, for over 5,000 years.
5. Initiation is the process of embarking on a journey of spiritual living which will lead to spiritual enlightenment.
6. How does the Kemetic Yoga Counselor help the seeker?
A metaphor was provided in the workbook, which stated, “The relationship is as of an athlete and a coach.” Just as an athlete needs coaching and practice to mastery their sport, so too does the seeker need coaching on how to practice and gain mastery of the lower nature of the self.
The Yoga Teacher helps the seeker to rise above anguish and disappointing experiences due to interactions in the world. The Yoga Counselor helps the seeker to reconstruct their thought processes and channel energies of disappointment/frustration into a healthy dispassion of the world. Also, to help the seeker become self-directed in creating and sustaining a viable personal spiritual program.
7. How should a beginning spiritual aspirant think about the different levels of aspirant.
After gaining insight to what each level represents, I, a beginning spiritual aspirant, perceives the levels to be a guide/measuring stick to place myself in front of to evaluate myself while on this journey. I also view it as a level of understanding myself and what I should strive for at each level. It provides me with an idea of where I am and where I need to go next. It also helps to improve my thoughts about myself in this process because it brings more light to that notion, it is a process and one cannot simply go from aspiring to being more spiritual to being spiritually enlightened. It takes hard work and discipline. So, knowing the levels helps me to know if growth is being made.
