Lesson 5
Reading Assignment
1. Which hieroglyphic term covered in this lesson was most captivating to you personally and why?
The hieroglyphic term that captivated me personally was;
Vs. 18 “pegas n su secher her satyu sek n s Aset”
That saliva of Ra – Tem was falling voluminously on the faces of persons, flooding all over the land exposed to half of the sky. Knowing its significance Isis collected it for herself.
It caught my attention again like it did last year when Sebai did the lesson live. It caused me to reflect again on what the mythic saliva of Ra meant on a deeper level, metaphysically. Also on its abundance at that time of day when the sun is setting and how it relates to the piercing of the temporal nature of creation. Though I am still contemplating, I find the analogy Sebai used of the life force energy being the saliva and the solar panel being the capacity to turn one’s attention to the divine insightful on how Aset was able to collected it, she had turn towards the light. Furthermore, it’s as if in her meditation she was making a connection to Spirit, collecting subtle life force energy and used what she collected directly to transform her personality, life, etc. in the form of the taffy shepsy. This again was achieved through dispassion, khak – ab, antet begag and an chen. Being aware of what it takes to accomplished this state of meditation was also very motivating.
