QUESTION FOR REFLECTION – LESSON 5 TTOA
What teachings did you learn in this lesson do you need to reflect on more or start to apply or work more diligently on implementing on your personality, mentally, emotionally, metaphysically, or otherwise to emulate human Lady Aset on her path?
I refer to verse 21 in the scripture that translates:
“an image of a harpoon having a shaft that ends in one point but the image of that sacred serpent was not moving yet.”
Like Aset I would like to have that one-pointed patience and stillness (an nemmu nemmu) of knowing when to strike through the careful study of Ra on His path. I believe timing is everything in spiritual aspiration and impatient expectations can lead one to get discouraged in their spiritual journey, which often leads to quitting too soon. But lingering in the spiritual journey can lead an aspirant to become complacent and comfortable on the spiritual path and one can miss the opportunity to strike.
Because of the nature of aryu each aspirant will move at differing paces along the spiritual path when it comes to fashioning their own tafy shepsy. The one pointed aim is to keep trying, no matter what, until one cultivates within the intuitional wisdom to know when one is in striking range to reach their spiritual goal of Enlightenment (Nehast) in this very lifetime. Just as Aset would not be put off by Ra, but waited for the right time to make Her move, I seek to emulate Her inuitional wsidom of knowing when it is the right time to strike.

Shems Heryt
