I think these are pivotal terms in the teaching which is replete with them. Also they are complementary. Khak-ab represents a repudiation of the aspect of Ra that is illusory and thereby opens the way to the second aspect of Neterty which is otherwise hidden and unfathomable to a person not experiencing khak-ab.
