LEVEL 1 LESSON 5 VID ASSIGNMENT: INTRO TO SN, DJA 2008 CONFERENCE PT 2
IMPORTANT THEMES PRESENTED
*Basic daily observances (Ra Neb) are performed 3 times daily (Morning , noon, evening) as it relates to the 3 aspects of Ra
*Maat offering was given in all of the temples in ancient times
*TEMPLE OF ASET
Vision was attained through Listening, reflection & meditation
*5 forms of meditation (Ari Sma Maat Uaa, Nuk Pu Ushet Uaa, Nuk Ra Akhu Uaa, Rekh Uaa Amun Uaa, Khef Ankh Uaa) were practiced & which aided in the attainment of Nehast.
*The physical aspect of the Sema Tawi (Yoga Postures) is secondary. The spiritual aspect should be the primary focus as one will still be able to reap the benefits of the physical component.
I felt it was very true What Seba Dja expressed as in regards to how many ones in places like India for example give reverence to the ancestors and culture, however do not truly live out the teachings as we can witness with the sad state of affairs that is going on in that particular society.
*SHEMSU UDJA SHEDY
It takes a burning desire/aspiration to attain Nehast & to not become dissuaded from the path due to the trials & tribulations that one may face.
*NEHAST IS THE FINAL OBJECTIVE
-Detachment should take place
-Direct mystical experience must take place in order for one to truly say Nuk Pu Nuk Asar Neter (I Am that I Am)
WHAT IMPRESSED YOU MOST ABOUT THE PRESENTATION?
The many forms of meditation, along with how i must always remember that this discipline is not just only for mere reverence of the greatness of the ancestors, the Sema Tawi postures for only the physical aspect, however the spiritual. I see how it is something that must be lived out through Shemsu Udja Shedy/burning desire, which will never distinguish as long as one follows the path with sincerity, and true devotion. This is what i received from this particular presentation and what i found profound & impressive.
