I think your pot denotes a similar feeling to my own about the glyphs and even though we do not use the language completely in conversation and do not use it hardly in writing between ourselves the study of them is rich in beauty for the mind and a kind of symbolic language that is primary to a phonetic language. So the Tats or images come first and then we assign sounds to them. In alphabetic only languages any sound will do in ordinary languages so there can be thousands as long as everyone agrees on what the sounds represent. The visual language is primary since it deals more directly with the mental concepts that the language represents. So when going from thought to image and then sound it goes from though to image and sound is optional. It is very interesting and contributory to a king of mental framework that is conducive to the feelings and wisdom of Neterianism.
