LEVEL 1 LESSON 3 READING ASSIGNMENT (Pgs 23-34)
*Expanded explanation of Topic #2
What is Egyptian Yoga?
In Ch 4 & 17 of the Prt m Hru (which Yoga teachings are at the heart of), the term Smai Tawi is used, which means “Union of the Two Lands of Egypt” (upper & lower Egypt) or “Egyptian Yoga”. “Smai”(union) is also the equivalent of the sanskrit term “Yoga”. “Tawi” means “Two Lands”. The Hieroglyph “Sma/Sema” which is represented by the union of the two lungs & the trachea, symbolizes a union of duality (Higher & lower self) which leads to a non-dualistic, singular consciousness- The One.
