Are the Wisdom Texts (Ptahotep, Amenemope, etc) considered wisdom and instructions for initiates or for general population? My thinking on this is if these wisdom texts relate to the idea of “normalizing” the ego per se through Maat action in regards to work, career, family life, spiritual endeavors, versus the “mysticalizing” stage. Do these wisdom texts embody the actions-thoughts that an initiate should follow closely? Hope my question makes sense. They are very powerful and helpful and I foresee myself spending years studying and reflecting on them.
