This lesson facilitates important aspects of the spiritual path for reflection so that going forward the aspirant may have a firm foundation from which to discern the progress on the path. I suggest you do your interactive assignment by looking at the Lesson 2 Reading assignment postings from other students to gain insights from their feed-backs but also to see the transformation of their newer postings in future lessons that you will also experience.
Your answer to #4 was interesting as a typical response based on common experiences of many people:
4.What is your previous Religious affiliation or faith and how do you think that relates to what you are following now?
I grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness, however ventured later on into Non-denominational Christianity, Voodoo/Voudon, Sunni Islam, and Rastafari/Metaphysical Bible studies in my lifetime. I think the metaphysical studies in the Rastafari teachings i received, relates in the Metaphysical sense to this path, as in discovering the deeper meanings behind the myths. I feel that discovering the origin and deeper mysteries of the bible, led me closer and closer to the Kemetic path.
I suggest you read the book MYSTICAL JOURNEY FROM JESUS TO CHRIST as it is designed, among other things, to address the experiences, thoughts and feelings of people who grew up in some Christian denomination but always wondering about issues the church could not answer but which finding Shetaut Neter fulfills. This book perhaps also offers some other insights that may be helpful as you transition to the more advanced aspects of Ancient Egyptian (and in particular -Asarian Resurrection) mythology and metaphysics studies and engage the EM Level 1 teaching further as well as insights that will help EM Level 2 studies.
