Bilboard - dog in lotus posture

Udja,

“As the moon retaineth her nature, though darkness spread itself before her face as a curtain, so the Soul remaineth perfect even in the bosom of the fool.”

-AEP

Very good

It is important to realize that though all human beings have the POTENTIAL of “becoming godlike” actually the POSSIBILITY is dependent upon varied factors and the major one is the content of aryu. Therefore, this is why many people feel disconcerted when they share the teachings with others and find that sometimes people listen and seem interested but then turn around and pursue worldliness. Others may even become violent and reject what they hear; others may even be interested and work towards initiation and then fall by the wayside, all due to different levels of aryu and some negative aryu that may come out at different times. This last can occur when a person is inclined towards the teachings and then when the evolution comes to a certain place they are confronted with some issue they do not want to face so they cannot progress and in order not to face the issue they leave the teaching and take up something else that does not require the facing of the issue. Many people fool themselves into thinking they are practicing the teaching and some may even be sincere but in reality they were still under the delusion of supporting their worldly existence and its values-they were not ready to give those up. This is human nature; yet in the end all issues must be faced, either in this lifetime or a future one and no worldliness can be retained, not even a grain of sand worth.
