I like the idea of “surrendering to the teaching of your spiritual leader” also. I don’t remember the exact context in which it was discussed in this video. But I think of surrendering to the teaching as letting go of my expectations about what people will do, how things will go, e.t.c., and just allowing myself to accept and appreciate what comes my way. Also, I try to surrender to the teaching in the sense that I am letting go of my sense of “self” as an ego that needs to be defended and/or satiated.
