Slide from Intro to Egyptian Yoga
Udja
Very important teachings in this assignment.
What is the difference between an aspirant who actively seeks to follow the teaching versus one who seeks intermittently or without much intensity and between that and a person who does not have interest and another who actively seeks to stay away?
The difference is called maturity but in spiritual terms that maturity means the state of mind wherein a person experiences the level of wisdom they have based on their experiences; in other words the sum total of their aryu that creates the persons likes and dislikes. After some time of life the experiences leave residues in the unconscious mind (Ab) and if there are more negative than positive then there will be tendency to stay away. If the negative is much more than positive then there is tendency towards dullness and extreme repudiation.
If there is more positive than negative there will be more willingness and interest and if there is much more positive than negative there will be intense desire for movement towards that object or perceived benefit. Therefore, having recognized the tendency in oneself, the task is to cleanse and improve the aryu in the mind and that is done through shedy and most importantly through khnumnt nefer –good association with more advanced personalities and of course the higher the personality the better. This process culminates in the discovery of higher consciousness for oneself wherein no more faith or trust in preceptors or scriptures is needed and that person becomes now a conduit of the wisdom teaching and a beacon for others to find the way to allow their maturing personality to reach full maturity and spiritual enlightenment.
