A SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT FOR LESSON 4
In verse 4 of the rubric the term “Asar un-nefer” is introduced. the term “un” is a rabbit over the squiggly line. “Un” is a key term signifying existence, that which exists, i.e. that which is real and abiding. Therefore, this Osiris soul (Asar) is hereby being referred to as not an individual soul, like one possessed by ordinary mortals that sustains life but in ignorance and limitation and reincarnation. Rather, the “UN” signifies that this is the abiding soul (Asar) and thus this is the deeper aspect of the mundane translation of “beautiful existence. In other words it is beautiful because it exists abidingly as opposed to existence intermittently through reincarnation. Pay attention to this term and keep it in memory along with its significance.
Nefer, the vertical term following the rabbit, is, among other things, a guitar, a favorite instrument of Asar. In this context it means that the beauty of this existence is musically harmonized. Thus we may consider the melodies of the musical scale notes and along with that the harmonizing of the numbers symbolized by the 7 notes of the diatonic scale and along with that harmony of number the harmony of 7 basic colors, and along with that the harmony of the seven energy centers that respond to sound and color, relating to the world of time and space and the existence of transcendental reality.
