The study and worship of the Divine Mother is one of the most effective paths to practice mystical spirituality. The very basis of the program of worship is an understanding that Asar, the Soul, has been dismembered and it is the Goddess who reconstitutes his body and who provides the nourishment and nursing which is required to bring the Spirit back to life. You will notice that the supplication in the ritual is a beckoning directed both at Asar and at Heru. This is because Asar and Heru are in reality one and the same. The resurrection of Asar is synonymous with the birth of Heru. The birth of Heru is synonymous with the vindication and resurgence of Asar. This task of bringing Asar back to life, the Goddess achieves by providing her own body, wisdom and love. Thus, the spiritual aspirant is to see himself or herself as the Goddess who is giving the body, mind and soul to the Spirit. In being part of the ritual and by observing the teachings imparted by it, every participant draws from these qualities and engenders the birth of the Spirit, Heru, within themselves
